About
The Project Story
AirFryerConverter.app was founded by a software engineer and home cooking enthusiast who wanted to simplify the transition from traditional ovens to modern air fryers. What started as a personal project to master the science of rapid convection quickly evolved into a multi-language tool used by thousands of cooks globally.
The Philosophy
The project is driven by a passion for the physics of heat transfer and the potential of air frying to make healthy cooking more accessible. Every calculation is designed to ensure that home cooks can get the best possible results from their kitchen appliances.
How It Works: The Science
Air fryers cook food using rapid forced convection. The intense circulation of hot air transfers heat much faster than a standard oven. Generally, converting a recipe requires a 25°F (15°C) reduction in temperature and a 20% reduction in cooking time. However, this is just a baseline.
Testing Methodology
Unlike simple calculators, these algorithms are "kitchen-tested." Over 500 hours of comparative cooking tests have been performed across various brands like Ninja, Cosori, Philips, and Instant Pot. Internal temperatures are measured using professional-grade thermoprobes to ensure these estimates lead to safe and delicious results.
Why Brand-Specific?
Not all air fryers are created equal. Different brands and models have vastly different heating characteristics, fan speeds, and basket geometries. A recipe that works perfectly in a Philips air fryer might burn in a Ninja. That's why this calculator was built to account for these specific thermal differences.
Mission
The mission is simple: to provide a free, fast, and accurate tool to help coook perfect meals in an air fryer, available in multiple languages to support home cooks globally.
