About Us
Our Story
We built AirFryerConverter.app because over 60% of homes now own an air fryer, but almost every recipe online is still written for conventional ovens. We were tired of burned or undercooked food resulting from guessing the right time and temperature. We wanted a tool that took the guesswork out of air frying.
How It Works: The Science
Air fryers cook food using rapid forced convection. The intense circulation of hot air transfers heat much faster than a standard oven. Generally, converting a recipe requires a 25°F (15°C) reduction in temperature and a 20% reduction in cooking time. However, this is just a baseline.
Why Brand-Specific?
Not all air fryers are created equal. Different brands and models have vastly different heating characteristics, fan speeds, and basket geometries. A recipe that works perfectly in a Philips air fryer might burn in a Ninja. That's why we built our calculator to account for these specific thermal differences.
Our Methodology
Our conversion algorithms are based on a combination of official manufacturer data (including Philips, Ninja, Cosori, and others), peer-reviewed thermal cooking studies, and extensive community feedback. We continuously refine our formulas to provide the most accurate estimates possible.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to provide a free, fast, and accurate tool to help you cook perfect meals in your air fryer, available in multiple languages to support home cooks globally.
